Russian River Consecration

At 10% alcohol I was expecting something heavy and sweet.  Then I saw the word “Brettanomyces” and I knew better.  This strain of yeast is the most feared in the world.  According to
Russian River Brewing
the strain of yeast is so scary that wine makers won’t step foot into their place.  Why?  Because Brett’s (as they’re called) make infamously sour brews.

These beers are some of my favorite, frequently high alcohol and as drinkable as lemonade to me.  (The boyfriend hates them…more for me!)  A Lovely amber/red color I’d do this beer again in a heart beat…though I suppose the responsible thing to do would be aging it…

P.S. the penguin’s name is Sigmund, he lives on my couch.
