Reno on Dogfish Head’s “Midas Touch”

“Poured cleanly with a burst of microbubbles everywhere it touched the glass, a small head, making it self look almost more like a cider then an ale. You can smell the honey and muscat grapes as you pour, and first scent gives you that face full of barley, hops and saffron.

First sip is very smooth, a fruity flavor riddled with small bites of hops. It is instantly clear as to why this beer is one of my all time favorites, the muscat grapes leave a soft fruity taste that has me licking the roof of my mouth in between sips. Based on taste you really wouldn’t expect to see it as a 9.0% ABV.

All in all, I could drink this beer and this beer alone for the rest of my life. But, what do you expect of a beer that was in fact, created 2000 years ago? Predates Christ. I would pray to this beer. “

(It should be noted that Reno loves beer in glasses,  but does not have a huge selection thus why Dogfish (www.dogfish.com) is in an Ayinger glass)
