It started with my best friend Flynn and hot (HOT!) wings in Hollywood. Oh there had been beer before that. Sips my dad snuck me (everyone’s dad did that right?), the Zima (seriously) I downed home coming my freshman year. But there was something magical in what happened between the HOT HOT wings and the Red Stripe Flynn gave me that made me start reconsidering beer.
From there it was Sam Adams, American Hefe’s and about that time the Boy entered my life (His fridge had three Heineken the first time I stayed over, I drank them all). We proceeded to Naja’s Place for a regular event they use to have called “Pint Night” where you got a featured beer and got to keep the glass (I swear there will be a post about the glass collection with pictures). What followed was three years (and counting!) of beer experimentation. That’s the origin’s of my madness, but who knows where the end will be (liver failure).
As for the facts, I’m in my late twenties and live in Northern California. I write, drink, paint (and sketch…don’t be surprised if beer comics sneak into this blog), drink, work full time, drink, go to school part time, drink and play video games. This page is my chance to mesh my love of beer and writing (and maybe art) into something that is fun and maybe mildly educational.
