LOL Black lagers AKA Schwarzbier originated in Germany. :) I've done beamish and murphy's both are delicious. But I tend towards big beers these days.

The black stuff's good alright, but Beamish and Murphy's are even better. Wait, black lager?! What in the name of long-suffering Jaysus are they doing to you poor guys over there?! After a review like that, I hope they send you a few complimentary bottles. Maybe they did already.
Germany's where it's at for beer I must confess. Augustiner Hell Brau has my number one vote for the moment. See if the waitress has that.
But stouts - try Beamish and Murphy's are recommended already.

A side note from Glynn the owner at the Rubicon. We think of it as a strong ale as well, but the TTB would not let us call it that in the bottle.....strong......special.......who cares we were excited to put this in the bottle. Thanks for the nice review and it is available in the bottle at the Rubicon right now.

Cheers for good beer,

Happy Birthday, Bianca. I wish I could join you in brewing that sour. Could you save a bottle to share when I'm in Cali again in September?
